Newly Admitted Domestic Students to the Rohrer College of Business (RCB)
Welcome to Rowan’s Graduate Business Student Community!
We are excited to welcome you into our program and to get to know you throughout your studies. Below, you will find a plan of action that includes steps for you to successfully get started as a student. These steps will include accepting your offer of admission, completing necessary documentation, and scheduling a meeting with your academic advisor.

First Steps for Newly Admitted Domestic Students
Please expand each accordion to access specific instructions for each step.Step 1. Accept your Offer of Admission: Matriculation Agreement
- Log in to the admissions portal where you applied to the program and sign your Matriculation Agreement.
- Your records will be updated over the next few business days.
Step 2. Rowan Account Activation & Student Email
- Activate your Rowan Network Account by visiting https://netid.rowan.edu and selecting "First Time Users" under the "Other Login Options" section.
- If you were previously a Rowan student, you do not need to visit the NetID website and activate your account, unless you have forgotten your Rowan account password and need to reset it.
- You will also set up “DUO,” a secondary security feature required for all Rowan students.
- Contact the Rowan IRT Support Department at support@rowan.edu if you are unable to set up your Rowan Network Account or DUO.
- After your Rowan Network Account has been successfully activated, log in to your Rowan email account following these steps.
- Students can set up an auto-forward to send their Rowan @students.rowan.edu (Gmail) address to a personal email account.
Step 3. Access Rowan Self-Service Banner
- Please utilize these Rowan IRT Login Instructions to access Self-Service Banner.
- Rowan Self-Service Banner is where you will register for classes, view your schedule, pay your term bill, access your financial aid and all other necessary aspects of being a student at Rowan.
Step 4. Before Meeting with Your Advisor: Important Items to Review
- Review MBA Student Guidance Material
- Review the New Student Onboarding Guide for additional details about getting started with Rowan.
- Review the Foundation Fact Sheet if your acceptance letter indicated that you have Foundation courses to complete.
- Review the Graduate Business Student Handbook for details on:
- Career Resources
- Campus Resources
- Frequently Asked Questions on topics such as:
- Foundation Courses
- Tuition/Bills
- Transferring in Graduate Credit
- Make sure your Financial Aid is in order (if applicable)
- For more details and the most up-to-date information about financial aid, please visit the Financial Aid Office website or email the Financial Aid Office: financialaid@rowan.edu.
- Sign up for eRefund direct deposit
- The Office of the Bursar requires students who expect to receive a refund to enroll in our eRefund service. eRefunds are sent electronically via direct deposit to a designated personal checking or savings account. For more information on eRefunds and how to enroll, please visit the Bursar's website.
- Make sure you complete all health form requirements
- Detailed information (including deadlines) and forms can be found on the Wellness Center Website.
- Failure to meet these requirements may result in a financial penalty and/or a registration hold on the student’s account.
- Immunization forms are required for ALL degree-seeking students at Rowan University, including online-only students.

Step 5. Schedule a Meeting with Your Advisor
- After you have completed the above steps, please email the Graduate Business Programs office at GraduateBusinessStudies@rowan.edu to coordinate a time to meet with your academic advisor.
- Please share if you’d like this meeting to be in person, via video conference, or phone call, as well as your availability to meet.
- During this meeting, you will discuss course registration and other important items related to you getting started as a student.
Step 6. Begin Making Connections and Building Relationships
- We encourage our students to go beyond the classroom to build relationships now that will serve you during your graduate studies—and throughout your career.
- Explore upcoming events and check out what is going on around campus.
- Freshen up your LinkedIn profile to begin connecting with other MBA, MS Finance, COGS and CAGS students and then connect with members of RGSAAB (Rohrer Graduate Student and Alumni Advisory Board). RGSAAB members are actively engaged in academics and shared community connections that elevate the student experience and the reputation of Rohrer Graduate Programs.
- Get to know the Program Team, RCB deans, and current Fellows, or apply to become a Fellow if your background and goals align with the MBA & MSF Fellowship Program mission.

Campus and Community
Explore the Rowan campus experience and all that South Jersey and the surrounding region has to offer. Learn more about Business Hall, where you’ll be spending most of your time during your program, or take a virtual tour of campus.
Networking, Community Building, and Professional Development
Rohrer College of Business makes every effort to connect our graduate business students with business-related resources, departments, and faculty across the Rowan ecosystem. We host networking events and professional development opportunities throughout the semester, and we keep our students posted on upcoming conferences and special events of interest.
