Looking Back with Forward Momentum
Professional development and relationship-building acuity are vital to success in business, but proven techniques and leading practices in these areas are in constant flux in today’s technology-driven, fast-paced world. It is imperative that business programs facilitate immersive opportunities for learning and development, acting as a catalyst between academia and industry for tomorrow’s executives, business leaders, and entrepreneurs.
Rohrer College of Business (RCB) invites you to explore the types of events we’ve curated for our graduate business students in the past, to discover what we’ve achieved and celebrated together, and in a sense, to catch a glimpse of what future events at RCB might entail, of course with some exciting new twists as we empower our students to keep pace with the business demands of the future.
Past Networking Events
From supporting our alumni’s entrepreneurial achievements, to family outings and sports events, here are just a few highlights from some of the RCB Graduate Business Studies social events over the years.TopGolf Networking
MBA students, alumni, and guests enjoyed hanging out with friends, eating some good food, and having fun at TopGolf. TopGolf was a mix of noncompetitive, easy-going games that were a good fit for everyone. This event was a fantastic opportunity for students to build their professional and personal network in a laidback environment.
Axe & Arrow Brewery
Axe & Arrow Brewery is owned and operated by RCB’s very own MBA alumnus, Krystle Lockman. Our graduate business students joined us at Axe & Arrow for a private tour of the brewery, an opportunity to hear from Krystle, to ask questions and receive expert startup business insights, and to enjoy some drinks and food under an outdoor tent.
Philadelphia 76ers vs San Antonio Spurs - Sixers Win!
MBA, MS Finance, COGS, and CAGS students and their guests (nearly 50 participants in total!) joined us to explore the brand new Wells Fargo Center Assembly Room as the 76ers took on the San Antonio Spurs. It was a night full of cheers, fast-paced action, and a shared competitive spirit. Best of all, this action-packed night brought our graduate students and guests together for making connections.
Creamy Acres Fall Festival (Family-friendly Event)
A crew of Rowan MBA students visited Creamy Acres Fall Festival and brought along their loved ones for the seasonal fun! Creamy Acres is a family-owned farm in Mullica Hill that has an open-to-the-public dairy farm and garden center. We enjoyed Hayrides, Pumpkin Picking, a Kiddie Corn Maze, and Pumpkin Painting. The Creamy Acres “petting zoo” was a fun way to check out chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, a donkey, and cows.
