John Erdmann

SVP, Controller
TD Bank

John Erdmann is currently SVP, Controller for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank.  In this role, he has responsibility for all aspects of accounting for the U.S. covering accounting policy, financial and regulatory reporting, finance risk governance and control (including Sox/FDICIA), capital markets accounting, loan accounting, and financial operations.  John has been with TD Bank since June 2012.  John is also a member of the American Bankers Association's Accounting Advisory Committee and Rowan University Accounting Advisory Board.

Prior to that, John has spent over 20 years in the financial services industry, most recently as Corporate Controller for PHH Corporation, a top mortgage lender and fleet lease company.  John’s career also includes experience in the mortgage and credit card industry at various companies including Royal Bank of Canada, Bank One, MBNA and Discover Card.  John is a graduate of Villanova University and started his career with Ernst & Young, LLP in New York City.
