Biography

Pati comes to the Glassboro campus from Indiana University Kokomo, where he served as the dean of the university's business school as well as a professor of operations management (2001-2008). Pati also served as Dean of the Rohrer College of Business and professor of operations management during the period 2008-2012. Pati also served as Professor and chair of the department of management the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse during the period 1990-2001.

Pati holds a Master’s and Ph.D. from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.  He earned an M.Tech.at the Industrial Management Center, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and a B. Tech in production engineering with distinction and first rank from Ranchi University, Ranchi, India. He also completed leadership certificates in the Institute for Educational Management (IEM) in 2011, and Management Leadership in Education (MLE) in 2004, both at Harvard University with scholarship.  He has been certified as a Supply Chain Operations Reference Professional (SCOR-P) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). Pati has published numerous peer-reviewed publications, proceedings, and technical publications. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Family Business and Regional Development, Associate Editor of the International Journal of Process Management and Benchmarking, and renders his service on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals.  Pati was designated a Distinguished Hoosier by the State of Indiana in 2008 which is the highest civilian award conferred by the state on its residents for their distinguished service.
