This fall, we welcomed the Rohrer College of Business Class of 2023. While we don’t know exactly how, we do know this group of students will someday engage with the business world in ways we could not previously imagine.
As co-chair of Rowan’s Education of the Future Taskforce during the 2018-19 academic year, I gained significant insights about what’s ahead. I completed a “foresight/futurism” boot camp through the University of Houston and engaged a team of Houston consultants to work with the task force. I am taking a deep dive into this matter, which will benefit the University’s and RCB’s upcoming initiatives.
Last year, I also served on AACSB’s Business Accreditation Task Force. This 15-member team was chosen from AACSB leaders around the world. As we worked to redefine AACSB’s accreditation standards, I had the opportunity to weigh in on the content and develop a deep understanding of the context behind the changes.
Armed with critical knowledge from these experiences, we will be uniquely positioned to respond to AACSB’s new accreditation process in the future.
As we hone our curriculum, we’re focusing on four major areas—corporate responsibility, analytics, technology and entrepreneurial thinking. We are gathering insights from our advisory councils, industry, the business community, alumni and students.
Please contact us to learn more about how you can engage with our students and the College as we continue to redefine the future of business education.
