Biography

James Jungbae Roh holds a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Management, an M.B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Toledo, and a B.A. in Economics from Dongguk University, Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Roh teaches Operations Management, Business Process Improvement, and Business Analytics. He strives to make a difference in students' life and community through his teaching, research, and service. Dr. Roh’s endeavors have been recognized by Rohrer College of Business as he received Rohrer College of Business Alumni Advisory Council Award for Scholarly Achievement in 2012 and 2016 and also Innovation in Teaching Award in 2013. Dr. Roh published a number of research papers in journals such as Business Horizons, Information & Management, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Production Planning & Control, and the Journal of Supply Chain Management, among others. He served as a guest-editor of Journal of Enterprise Information Management, International Journal of Business Excellence, and International Journal of Business and Innovation Research. He has been invited as a reviewer for Journal of Operations Management, Decision Support Systems, International Journal of Production Economics, Information & Management, and other journals. Various venues have given recognition to his research; notably, the Journal of Supply Chain Management selected his coauthored paper as a finalist for 2015 Harold E. Fearon Best Paper Award. His research also received Bright Idea Award from the NJPro foundation in 2014 and 2016. An ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt, he has a keen research interest in the intersection of supply chain process improvement and strategy. He has also been serving the student body and the university at several capacities, and he currently serves as Vice President of Beta Gamma Sigma at Rowan Chapter and Advisor of Asian Culture Association at Rowan University.
