Biography
Dr. Daniel J. McFarland is a Professor of Accounting in the Rohrer College of Business. He is currently working with his peers to further broaden Data and Analytics expertise within our academic programs. From 2005 to 2018 Dr. McFarland served in the Rohrer College of Business Dean’s Office as Interim Dean, Associate Dean, and Graduate Programs Director. During his tenure at Rowan, he has had the honor of participating with many significant changes within the College, including several major accreditation reviews as well as the funding, design, and construction of a new building for the College.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. McFarland worked in industry for over a decade for companies including the electronics division of Ford Motor Company and the automated material handling division of FMC Corporation. Highlights from his industry experiences include research and development for 1st generation autonomous vehicle technologies; designing and implementing manufacturing processes and improvements; creating quality management programs; designing, developing, and implementing information system solutions; and direct supervision and leadership for UAW employees, skilled trades, and salaried team members.
