Biography
Richard (Rick) Marmon has been teaching courses in law, accounting, tax, and auditing at Rowan University since 1985. Professor Marmon earned an MBA in finance from LaSalle University, a JD from Widener University and a LLM in taxation from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and former member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Professor Marmon had previous "Big Eight" accounting experience and served as a law clerk in the appellate division of the New Jersey Superior Court. He previously taught all sections of the uniform CPA exam and has been featured as an expert in financial, legal, and tax matters for various media outlets. Professor Marmon was a recipient of the Wall of Fame Award presented by the Rowan University Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in 2001 and 2011 and is currently Of Counsel with the law firm of Reger Rizzo and Darnall, LLP in their Estates and Trusts Group.
