HR Management Concentration in Rowan's MBA

MBA Curriculum Requirements and Options
All Rowan MBA students pursue the same 18 credits of to satisfy core requirements of the 36-credit curriculum. Rowan MBA students also enjoy the freedom of customizing 18 credits to meet career pursuits. The flexible, customized 18 credits are pursued via six 3-credit courses: two areas of concentration or one area of concentration and three elective courses.
Rowan MBA students can choose two related Concentrations to build significant depth, two distinct Concentrations to build breadth, or even choose one concentration and three elective courses across disciplines to gain a wide view from varying perspectives.

- Strategic Human Resource Management consists of planned organizational activities designed to increase organizational effectiveness and equity. This course outlines the transformation of HRM from a clerical function to an important strategic partner of top management. It focuses on the ability of HRM to provide a source of competitive advantage to forward-thinking organizations.
HRM 06688 - Talent Leadership
HRM 06688 - Talent Leadership (3 credits)
- Organizations face many challenges when it comes to managing and developing talent. In large organizations, pipelines are nurtured and developed. In emerging systems, talent acquisition is nimbler and more nuanced. A successful HR professional must understand the different methods to manage talent based on the organization and how to create an integrated, systematic approach to attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining critical talent.

HRM 06677 - People Analytics (3 credits)
- People analytics is the use of data-driven techniques for managing people and leads to better decisions and superior organizational performance. In this course, students will learn how to use analytic tools to solve workplace challenges. This course includes a project-based learning component.
