Campus Internship Program
In collaboration with Rowan staff and faculty, the Rohrer Center for Professional Development provides on-campus experiential learning through the RCB Campus Internship Program. This program assists Rowan departments in creating engaging professional experiences for business students. The RCB CIP empowers students to build valuable skills and utilize knowledge from the classroom while building strong connections around campus.
Requirements for departments to participate in RCB CIP
- The Rohrer Center for Professional Development will provide funding for 6-10 business internships for RCB students across all Rowan campuses annually.
- Assignments will support hourly pay for up to 10 hours per week over 15 weeks. The department will be responsible for pay in excess of these hours.
- There is potential to have an intern position renewed for 3 years, applications will have to be resubmitted annually.
- Accepted internship applications will be determined by the business school population, sustainability of the role and how meaningful the internship will be to students' long term career growth.
- The internship must have specific goals and objectives, including an opportunity to contribute to a significant portion of a project. For example: A student developing and managing a contest campaign for an existing social media platform.
- The student’s internship must connect to the student’s area of study or career interests.
- Supervisors/mentors must share constructive bi-weekly feedback with the intern on their performance.
- The student and supervisor will fill out separate evaluations reflecting on their RCB CIP experience.
- Students may work remotely, in-person, and/or hybrid, under the close direction of their host department based on current operations.
- Students have the opportunity to enroll in a supervised internship course while participating in the RCP CIP. The student is responsible for driving enrollment in this course and for completing all required assignments. All required assignments are not related to the RCB CIP. Visit the Supervised Internship Program page for more details.

Mentor Programs
The goal of all Mentorship Programs is to provide a mechanism by which students can obtain a better understanding of the challenges and rewards of their selected field from those presently working as professionals. This enhanced understanding should help solidify the choice of profession. It provides students with a perspective that cannot be provided by faculty.
