A Message from Assistant Dean Young
On behalf of the Rohrer College of Business, I would like to congratulate our 2022-2023 award winners and scholarship recipients. You continue to make us Rowan Proud!
I would also like to thank Jared Lichter, Bureau of Business Associations (BOBA) Club President, for his hard work and dedication this year. Jared, who is scheduled to be our student speaker at commencement, worked diligently with our student club members and RCB administration to help ensure his fellow students had fulfilling and memorable educational experiences. Thanks, Jared, and congratulations Class of 2023!

Most Promising New Venture: Technology PrintFit: The lack of comfort in shoes today due to mass production leading to a one size/shape fits all and this decrease in quality leading to a harder and flatter shoe that leads to arch, foot, back and posture issues. Additionally, these low quality shoes are often not insulating enough to provide proper protection in cold weather. These are two major issues with foorwear that I want yo help solve by introducing PrintFit, a custom 3D printed insole that has heating capabilities through piezoelectric technology. |

Honorable Mention: Tax Space At Tax Space we provide tax preparations for individuals and business. We are committed to offer help our clients avoid penalties or fines. They need educational resources to understand the US tax system. |
|
Honorable Mention: Baron Rides Baron Rides is powering dreams and empowering students with an all-electric ride-sharing service on college campuses at a fixed price, with reliable schedules. Thousands of college students enrolled at commuter schools struggle to find safe, reliable transportation in their price range. Imagine being a college student taking the bus home at 9 pm for 1-2 hours after class or taking Uber or Lyft for $25 for a 15-minute ride. Would you be seeking a cheaper alternative? According to my primary market research, which included a survey distribution & interviews at Rowan College, 111 out of 211 students need more affordable transportation, and 54 taking NJ transit are seeking a more reliable ride. College students at commuter schools usually have to navigate complex schedules daily. Baron Rides will provide a reliable, on-demand option for transportation that can help alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that comes with commuting. Baron Rides will be incorporated at RCBC, where over 10,000 students are currently enrolled, and buying five electric buses that can fit 7-15 passengers costs between $15k and $20k each. |
