Hello everyone and happy October!
Starting this month, the Rowan Center of Responsible Leadership will be posting a newsltter consisting of upcoming events outside rowan (for both undergrad and grad), upcoming events at rowan (for both undergrad and grad), as well as fellowship/internship opportunities. All the events and oportunities listed will relate to topics surrounding responsible leadership.
As a reminder, responsible leadership refers to leaders are deemed to properly and justly meet ethical, normative, and moral obligations they have with respect to defined stakeholders and are willing to be held accountable for the consequences of their actions.
The newsletter will be posted here and sent to your email every month.
Events Outside Rowan
*FREE* Sustainable Leadership Training
The C2C Fellows Network, offered through the Graduate Programs in Sustainability (GPS) at Bard College in New York, is an international program for undergraduates and recent graduates aspiring to leadership work in sustainable politics, NGO’s, policy, education and business. C2C’s intensive, interactive skills-based virtual workshops teach skills they don't teach at university, skills to change the future. There is no cost to attend. (undergrad and grad can attend)

Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability 2023-2024 Virutal Seminar Series
The goals of this seminar series are, to give thought leaders in sustainability the opportunity to present their work and obtain valuable feedback, give an opportunity to junior scholars to network with the speaker and obtain career advice, and to be more inclusive and strengthen our global ARCS community throughout the year. In addition, we invite the future generation of thought leaders – namely the Ivey/ARCS Ph.D. Sustainability Academy Award Winner – to present their work. (undergrad and grad can attend)

Climate Cap: MBA Academy
MBA Academy: Understanding the Business of Climate is a new virtual education series in which you can learn directly from business leaders, academic thought leaders and entrepreneurs about how to be an effective climate-conscious leader and navigate the new climate economy (MBA students only).

2024 Climate Cap: Sustainability in Motion

IRB Grad Information Session
Are you a graduate student who will be conducting social, behavioral, or educational research at Rowan for your master's or doctoral degree? Do you want to know more about the IRB process and how to fly right through it? In this 1-hour session, IRB Chair Dr. Ane Johnson and Research Compliance Specialist Katelynn Huff will provide an overview of the institutional review process at Rowan University that all graduate students must undergo when conducting research. They’ll identify the pain points students often encounter in the process and provide some hot tips for success.
