Project Based Learning
By participating in Project Based Learning (PBL), students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time with an entrepreneur or small business to investigate and solve an authentic, real-world, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. These projects are brought to RCB to address a challenge the clients face including developing a business plan, marketing plan, research and many others. Students Work closely with the company engaging in a rigorous, extended process of posing questions, finding resources, and applying information. They then present their findings by explaining and presenting it to the client. The PBL model helps students develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills in the context of doing an authentic, meaningful project and prepares them for academic, personal, and career success.
